The Rut

I am tired of making easy art. To be clear, my recent practice includes techniques that require knowledge and skill. You see the influence of my perspective in the work. However, I tend to dwell in a relatively superficial space.

I am a big fan of creative exploration and I personally embrace the notion that there is room for art that is “just” pretty or cool or fun. Even so, I am no longer satisfied with my practice. I feel compelled to move on to the next level, even if it means being vulnerable.
